Invisible social and cultural forces present in the public realm change our perception of reality as well as interaction between people. My interest lies in how the subconscious is being colonized by consumerism. My current project investigates how marketing techniques persuade us subliminally.

I have found a particular fascination with the use of artificially produced scent in commercial enterprises. This has led me to appropriate contemporary manufacturing techniques of scent dispersion used within commercial zones. By re‐contextualizing their uses, I encourage participants to examine the effects of consumer manipulation within the public realm.
