I have created a picture book for children about sibling love. My starting point was the memory of how as a teenager I once took my little brother with me to my school, when he didn’t want to go to his own. At the end of the school day we sat for a while in a park together with my friends. I wanted to share what was mine.

As an illustrator I have a visual language that is often close to the direct mode of address used in picture books. I like using a lot of colors, and work with watercolors, chalks and pens. I am inspired by picture-book illustrators such as Eva Lindström and painters such as Philip Guston – and by Mexican folk art and Japanese woodcuts.
